Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, design, materials, manufacturing, inspection, and preparation for shipment requirements for integrated skid-mounted compressors, cylinder oil-lubricated compressors, and split or integral reciprocating compressors (hereinafter referred to as compressors) used in the oil and gas industry.
This standard also applies to all necessary auxiliary equipment, such as water and gas coolers, silencers, exhaust gas emission control equipment, filters, separators, control panels, and pipelines. It stipulates the purchasing specifications that can be followed, the minimum requirements for on-site construction and equipment procurement. These equipment are assembled into an operable unit in accordance with the purchasing specifications and the requirements for minimizing on-site construction and installation of equipment.
This standard does not apply to the following equipment:
——Reciprocating compressors used in the oil and gas industry as included in GB/T 20322—2006;
——Compressors installed on foundations;
——Oil-lubricated compressors;
——Compressors with single-acting cylindrical (automobile-type) pistons used as crossheads;
——Engineering facilities or instrument air compressors with exhaust gas pressure not exceeding 0.9 MPa;
——Compressors driven by diesel engines, gas turbines, and steam turbines.
