Scope
This standard specifies the safety regulations for the application of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and their systems in hazardous production environments, including technical requirements, safety management requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings, labels and manuals, transportation and storage, etc.
This standard applies to AGVs in Explosive Environments Zones 1, 2 and 21, 22.
This standard does not apply to AGVs in coal mines, equipment Class II Zone 0 AGVs, equipment Class III Zone 20 AGVs, nor to places where flammable gases and vapors containing carbon disulfide, carbon monoxide, and acetaldehyde are present.
