GB/T 15092.2-2014 Switches for appliances—Part 2:Particular requirements for cord switches
Basic Information
Scope
1.1 Replacement:
This part specifies that switches must be operated by humans through actuators, or by activating sensors. Actuators or sensors can be physically or electrically integrated with switches, or configured separately. They may also include signal transmission between actuators or sensors and switches, such as electrical, optical, acoustic, or temperature signal transmission.
Switches with additional control functions subject to the requirements of switches fall within the scope of this part.
This part also includes indirectly driven switches, where the operation of actuators or sensors is achieved by remote controls, appliances, or parts of equipment (such as doors).
This part applies to flexible switches (mechanical or electronic, hereinafter referred to as switches) with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V and a rated current not exceeding 16 A, used in appliances and equipment for household and similar purposes, driven by hand, foot, or other human actions.
Note 1: Electronic switches can be combined with mechanical switches that provide complete disconnection or micro-disconnection.
Note 2: Electronic switches in power circuits without mechanical switches only provide electronic disconnection. Therefore, the circuit on the load side is always considered energized.
Note 3: For switches used in tropical climates, additional requirements may be necessary.
Note 4: Note that appliance standards may contain additional or alternative requirements for switches.
Note 5: In this part, the term "appliance" refers to "appliances or equipment".
1.2 Replacement:
This part applies to switches connected to flexible cables.
Note: In this part, the term "cable" refers to "cables or flexible cables".
