GB/T 31036-2025 Proton exchange membrane fuel cell backup power system—Safety
Basic Information
Scope
This document defines the terms and definitions of the backup power system for proton exchange membrane fuel cells, stipulates safety requirements and protective measures, and describes the type test methods.
This document applies to backup power systems for proton exchange membrane fuel cells (hereinafter referred to as "PEMFC backup power systems"), and meets the following conditions at the same time:
—— Rated electrical output power ≤ 10kW;
—— Output AC or DC electricity;
—— Use hydrogen as fuel;
—— Not used as a standby power source and continuous working time ≤ 72h.
PEMFC backup power systems with a rated power exceeding 10kW should refer to this document for use.
A typical proton exchange membrane fuel cell backup power system is shown in Appendix A.
This document applies to commercial, industrial, and household PEMFC backup power systems in areas with no dangerous (unclassified) surroundings. This document does not address the safety requirements of the installation site.
Note: This document only considers dangerous situations that may cause harm to people, objects, or the environment outside the PEMFC backup power system, and proposes safety regulations for such dangerous situations. It does not include safety measures taken when the PEMFC backup power system itself may be damaged. The essential requirements in this document are not intended to limit innovation. When using materials, designs, or manufacturing methods different from those in this document, they should be equivalent or comparable to the safety and performance specified in this document.
