Scope

The chapter of GB/T 4706.1-2024 is replaced by the following content: This document specifies the safety of centrifugal dehumidifiers for household and similar use. This document applies to single-phase appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V, and other appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 480 V. The drying load capacity shall not exceed 10 kg, and the rotating drum line speed shall not exceed 50 m/s for standalone electric centrifugal dehumidifiers or centrifugal dehumidifiers in washing machines with separate containers for washing and dehumidifying. This document also applies to appliances that are not intended for general household use but may still pose a risk to the public, such as appliances intended for use by non-professional personnel in stores, light industry, and farms. In practical terms, the common hazards associated with the appliances covered by this document are encountered by all people in residential and surrounding environments. However, in general, this document does not address: -- The following groups (including children): ● Those who, due to physical, sensory, or mental impairments, or ● Those who, due to a lack of experience and knowledge, cannot safely use the appliance without supervision or guidance. -- Children playing with the appliance. Note the following: -- For appliances intended for use in vehicles, ships, or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary; -- National regulatory authorities may impose additional requirements on the appliance. This document does not apply to: -- Appliances specifically designed for industrial use; -- Appliances intended for use in special environments where corrosive or explosive gases (such as dust, vapor, or gas) frequently occur.
