The chapter of GB/T 4706.1—2024 is replaced by the following content:
This document specifies the safety requirements for electric air purifiers for household and similar use.
This document applies to electric air purifiers for household and similar use with a rated voltage of not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances, and a rated voltage of not more than 480 V for other appliances.
Air purifiers that are not intended for general household use but may still pose a danger to the public, such as those intended for use by non-professional personnel in shops, light industry, and farms, are also within the scope of this document.
In practical terms, the common hazards associated with the appliances covered by this document are ones that all people in and around residential areas may encounter.
