Scope

The chapter of GB/T 4706.1-2024 is replaced by the following content:
This document specifies the safety requirements for high-pressure cleaners. This document applies to non-tractor-driven appliances for household and commercial use indoors or outdoors with a rated pressure not lower than 2.5 MPa and not exceeding 35 MPa.
This document also applies to steam cleaners and components of steam-grade hot water high-pressure cleaners with a capacity not exceeding 100 L, whose rated pressure does not exceed 2.5 MPa and the product of capacity and rated pressure does not exceed 5 MPa·L.
They are not equipped with tractor-driven devices. The power systems of high-pressure pump drives include the following types:
——For single-phase appliances, the rated voltage of the motor does not exceed 250 V, and for other appliances, the rated voltage does not exceed 480 V;
——Battery-driven motors;
——Internal combustion engines;
——Hydraulic or pneumatic motors.
This document does not apply to the following cases:
——High-pressure water jetters with a rated pressure exceeding 35 MPa;
