The chapter of GB/T 4706.1-2024 is replaced by the following content:
This document specifies the safety requirements for electric range hoods and other cooking fume suction and exhaust devices for household and similar purposes.
This document applies to electric range hoods and other cooking fume suction and exhaust devices with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V, installed above, to the side, behind, or below household stoves, cooktops, or similar cooking appliances.
Note 101: Cooking appliances can use electricity or other fuels as energy sources, such as gas.
This document also applies to appliances that are not intended for general household use, but may still pose a danger to the public, such as appliances intended for use by non-professionals in stores, light industry, and on farms.
In practical terms, the common hazards associated with the appliances covered by this document may be encountered by everyone in residential areas and their surroundings. However, in general, this document does not consider the following situations.
