Scope

The following content replaces the corresponding chapter of GB/T 4706.1-2024:
This document specifies the safety requirements for household and similar-purpose electric humidifiers with a rated voltage of not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances, and a rated voltage of not more than 480 V for other appliances.
Note 101: The following appliances are within the scope of application:
——Appliances that atomize water;
——Appliances that heat and evaporate water;
——Appliances that blow air through a humid medium.
Humidifiers that are not intended for general household use but may still pose a risk to the public, such as those intended for use by non-professional personnel in shops, light industry, and farms, are also within the scope of this document.
