Scope

The chapter of GB/T 4706.1-2024 is replaced by the following content. This document specifies the safety requirements for electric waste food processors for household and similar purposes. This document applies to electric waste food processors for household and similar purposes with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V, and also applies to appliances that are not intended for general household use but may still pose a danger to the public, such as appliances intended for use by non-professionals in shops, light industry, and farms. In practical terms, the common hazards associated with the appliances covered by this document are ones that everyone in and around residential areas may encounter. However, in general, this document does not consider the following situations: -- People (including children) who cannot safely use the appliances without supervision or guidance due to physical, sensory, or mental disabilities; or -- Children playing with the appliances.
