The chapter of GB/T 4706.1—2024 is replaced by the following content:
This document specifies the safety of household and similar-purpose electric vacuum cleaners and water-suction cleaning appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V, including vacuum cleaners used for animal cleaning. It is also applicable to central vacuum cleaners and automatic cleaning appliances with rechargeable batteries.
This document applies to household and similar-purpose electric vacuum cleaners and water-suction cleaning appliances, vacuum cleaners used for animal cleaning, as well as power cleaning heads and charge pipes of specific vacuum cleaners.
This document is also applicable to battery-powered appliances and other DC-powered appliances. Appliances with dual power supplies, powered by the grid or batteries, are considered battery-powered appliances when they operate in battery-powered mode.
Appliances that are not intended for general household use but may pose a danger to the public, such as those used by non-professionals for general household purposes in stores or other commercial premises, are also applicable.
Note 101: Similar appliances are those used for general household purposes in hotels, schools, hospitals, factories, stores, and offices.
In practical terms, the common hazards of the various appliances covered by this document are ones that all people in residential and surrounding environments may encounter. However, generally speaking, this document does not consider the following situations.
